Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for renovation works of damaged childcare centers

FCYD Foundation and local authorities of 4 Sub-district Administrative Organizations (SAOs) have signed in Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) in order to renovate and improve damaged childcare centers. For this year, we made a survey and selected 4 childcare centers as follows;

  1. Childcare center of Baan Non Swan to construct new toilets, floor and ceiling
  2. Childcare center of Baan Nong Kaew to construct an extension of roof to cover an area of playground
  3. Childcare center of Baan Non Phuthong to construct a new toilet, improve 2 damaged toilets, outside ground floor
  4. Childcare center of Wat Sirichaimongkholram to improve damaged toilet and surrounding floor

The improvement works is considered of participatory collaboration among local authorities, parents and communities. FCYD Foundation is responsible for overall budget of materials and its procurement while labour/workers of all constructions are from volunteers; parents and community members. This is good practice and in the past it had been achieved to call for helps and hands of local people to make it for their own children.

Budget for construction materials is 103,002 Bah, we receive it from a good heart people in Bangkok. She is Khun Lertluck Leenuttapong; vice chairperson of the Foundation for Development of Disadvantaged Children (former name is Leenuttapong Foundation). She is the only person who has supported this project in different locations for many years. We would like to thank you for her contribution to help young children in rural childcare centers to have better building and health conditions.

After completion of the construction, FCYD Foundation is expecting to hand over all completed works for the best benefits of the children soon. And we also hope to provide some electrical appliances e.g. fans and refrigerators in order to make convenience for the children while learning and living in the centers.
